Merry Christmas!
Saturday morning I received the news that my 91 year old Nonna went to heaven.
Itās a bittersweet death because she lived a full life, absent of regrets, drama, pain and I think to myself, āI hope I get to experience as much love and memories as she did.ā
Death immediately puts the brevity of life into perspective and forces you to question, āWhat am I doing all of this for?ā My Nonna was very close with her daughters, they were by her bedside till the moment she took her last breath and Iām so glad that they prioritized family. Itās much easier said than done.
My Nonna talked a lot about death⦠One of the last questions she asked my Mom in her curious and innocent voice, āBut why do we have to die?ā
Some questions are best to keep your mouth shut and just listen with your heart.
Without further ado, here are my top lessons from 2024, a yearly tradition Iāve done for more than a decadeā¦
- 1. Godās voice is clearest during extreme fasting. Despite how hard it was, Iāll kick off 2025 with another 7-day water fast.
- 2. Best memories? Skiing with my kids every weekend and seven worship concerts. Nothing else came close.
- 3. Caffeine is overrated. 18 months caffeine-free and my energy is unmatched.
- 4. No one can ruin my day. Except me.
- 5. Pain, hurt and betrayal arenāt reasons to give up on Godāthey are invitations to give Him your whole heart and unlock a new level of faith.
- 6. Donāt confuse your desires for Godās will; His plan is best.
- 7. Donāt ever be too busy to not pick up the phone when a loved one calls. It may be the last time you speak to them.
- 8. If itās a āstress investmentā itās likely not the right time. However, if itās just a āstretch investmentā, itāll exponentially change your life.
- 9. The greatest gift I can give my children is showing God through all of this.
- 10. I am a Beast! I am raising 3 kids, leading 150+ active clients and 10 team members through one of the most trying times of my life.
- 11. To become a better leader, first become a better follower.
- 12. I am a killer and I am a lover and learning how to āplay all keys of the pianoā.
- 13. Who is your business truly serving? Your team and clients arenāt your family. Your partner and kids are your family.
- 14. Your biggest lie is your biggest opportunity.
- 15. People move when they feel paināand you build trust by sitting with them in it.
- 16. No oneās coming to save me. I am the marketer, the closer, the coach, the leaderāthe hero of my story.
- 17. Itās more powerful to be driven by self hatred vs self love.
- 18. The most dangerous state of a man⦠slumber.
- 19. If you want to grow you must be around people ahead of you.
- 20. Therapy about the past without a plan for the future is just talking in circles.
- 21. The best coaching begins with a paradigm breakthrough. You are not being paid to be nice or to be their friend. You are being paid to get a result.
- 22. Build your business from a place of design and desireānot defaultāor youāll drift.
- 23. Itās not her job to give you closure. You must give yourself closure.
- 24. When God walks you through transition, your relationships will often change. Not everyone who has been part of your life will continue to be, at least to the same degree.
- 25. Your business model is one of the greatest reflections of self love.
- 26. The enemy only goes after the good in our lives. He focuses on the fields with the most potential for harvest.
- 27. The A-Hole Test ā When you hear great knowledge and start thinking of how this would apply to someone else rather than you.
- 28. Freedom isnāt about moneyāitās about inner peace that circumstances canāt touch.
- 29. The man who has nothing to hide is the most powerful person in the room.
- 30. You can likely produce the same revenue levels in half the time and half the team..
- 31. Everything works. But does it work for you?
- 32. Misalignment with your audience, offer, or model leads to sabotage because you wonāt grow into pain.
- 33. I can see now that if God hadnāt closed some doors, I would have wasted years in rooms that I was never supposed to be in.
- 34. I never would have imagined you can live on very little. Iāve lived in 4 tiny AirBnBās with 3 kids and a truck full of boxes.
- 35. God wastes nothing. I feel Iāve wasted $840K on a house I havenāt lived in 2 years but I trust there will be a redemptive story.
- 36. Brotherhood saved me. Strong men spoke truth into my thick skill, challenged my ego, and called out my fears and limitations.
- 37. Some days, survival is the wināand thatās okay.
- 38. Feeling disrespect from others starts with self-disrespect.
- 39. Pick up the phone when a loved one callsāyou never know if itāll be the last time.
